JR Smith Celebrates College Graduation in New IG Photo, 'Means More Than You Could Ever Know'

Two-time NBA champion JR Smith is officially a college graduate.

Smith graduated from North Carolina A&T State with a bachelor's degree in liberal arts with a focus on African American culture, he announced Saturday on his Instagram.

Smith enrolled at NC A&T in 2021 and successfullyย petitionedย the NCAA for permission to play for the men's golf team.

He competed for the Aggies in all five years of his enrollment at the HBCU.

Smith spent 16 seasons in the NBA, where he won the Sixth Man of the Year award in 2013 with the New York Knicks. He won championships with the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2016 and Los Angeles Lakers in 2020 before retiring following the 2019-20 campaign.
