Bleacher Report's Jonathan Wasserman compared Wilson to former NBA star Blake Griffin, citing his "advantageous athletic ability and two-point scoring skills." Griffin was a six-time All-Star, Rookie of the Year and more. If Wilson can have that kind of career, he will be considered a success.
Wilson put up 19.8 points, 9.4 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 1.4 blocks per game while shooting 57.8 percent from the field during his time with the Tar Heels. Unfortunately for North Carolina, Wilson fractured his left hand in February and later required season-ending surgery on a broken thumb, so his season ended a bit prematurely.
While injuries meant scouts didn't get to see Wilson in the NCAA tournament like top stars AJ Dybantsa, Darryn Peterson and Cameron Boozer, Wilson had firmly established himself as one of the top players in the class at the time of his injury.
Now, he'll look to show what he can do at the next level with the Bulls.
