New 2026 NBA Mock Draft from Kevin O'Connor Revealed After Lottery Results
Welcome to NBA mock draft season.
With the lottery now settled, it's far easier to project where prospects will fit on the board and how teams might look to address major needs. Yahoo's Kevin O'Connor dropped his latest mock on Monday, unsurprisingly selecting BYU's AJ Dybantsa No. 1 overall to the Washington Wizards.
As he wrote, Dybantsa "has a special blend of athletic tools the way he bends, shifts, and explodes with the ball in his hands" and "gets to the rim at will, cooks in the midrange, draws fouls at a high rate, and displays point forward potential."
He also noted there will be less pressure to be the man right out of the gate in Washington, with Anthony Davis and Trae Young already in town.
O'Connor then projected Darryn Peterson No. 2 to the Utah Jazz, Cam Boozer No. 3 to the Memphis Grizzlies, Caleb Wilson No. 4 to the Chicago Bulls and Keaton Wagler No. 5 to the Los Angeles Clippers, which seems to be a pretty popular top five during the first pass of mock drafts.
