Draymond Green Defends SGA, Thunder From Criticism, 'If You Can't F--king Beat 'Em, Shut Up'
Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green responded to criticism that reigning MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the Oklahoma City Thunder have faced during their current playoff run.
"Yes, they do foul," Green said, per ESPN's Tim MacMahon and Anthony Slater. "Yes, Shai does sell fouls. Yes, Lu Dort does some bulls--t. Yes, yes, yes, yes. All of that is true. Oh, well. If you can't f--king beat 'em, shut up. One thing is for certain -- a team that only plays to bait fouls, and a player that only plays to bait fouls, it catches up with them in the playoffs. They lose. [The Thunder] won a championship. So shut up."
Phoenix Suns star Devin Booker called out the officiating during his team's first-round series loss to the Thunder, while several Lakers players met with referees after their Game 2 defeat at the hands of the defending champions in the second round.
Oklahoma City currently holds a commanding 3-0 series lead over Los Angeles.
Green has developed his own reputation for his physical defensive style, which has allowed him to capture Defensive Player of the Year honors in 2017 and help the Warriors win four championships throughout his tenure with the organization.
As for the Thunder, they're looking to sweep the Lakers and advance to the Western Conference Finals in Game 4 on Monday. Tip-off is at 10:30 p.m. ET.
