NBA Fans React to Anthony Edwards' 36 Points as Wolves Top Spurs After Wemby Ejection in Playoffs G4

Anthony Edwards dropped 36 points as the Minnesota Timberwolves secured a 114-109 Game 4 victory over the San Antonio Spurs following the ejection of Spurs star Victor Wembanyama.

Wembanyama was ejected for the first time in his career during the second quarter after catching Minnesota's Naz Reid with an elbow to the neck and assessed a flagrant foul 2.

Ahead of his exit, he finished with four points, four rebounds and an assist in 12 minutes.

Edwards delivered a dominant performance including an electric fourth quarter, finishing with 36 points on 59 percent shooting from the field and going 3-of-5 from beyond the arc. He added six rebounds and a steal as the Timberwolves evened the series in the Western Conference semifinals.

Julius Randle added 12 points and eight rebounds while Jaden McDaniels chipped in 14 points. Rudy Gobert recorded a double-double with 11 points and 13 rebounds while Naz Reid added 15 points and nine rebounds off the bench.

Despite Wembanyama's ejection, the Spurs trailed just 84-80 after three quarters and did not surrender the lead until an Edwards 3-pointer gave Minnesota a 98-97 advantage with 5:12 remaining in the fourth quarter, paving the way for the victory.

De'Aaron Fox led the Wembanyama-less Spurs with 24 points and three steals. Stephon Castle chipped in 20 points, six rebounds and four assists while Devin Vassell added 14 points. Dylan Harper exploded off the bench with 24 points and seven rebounds.

The winner of the No. 2 San Antonio Spurs–No. 6 Minnesota Timberwolves series will meet the winner of the No. 1 Oklahoma City Thunder–No. 4 Los Angeles Lakers matchup in the conference finals.

The series shifts back to Minnesota for Tuesday's Game, with tipoff set for 8 p.m. ET.
