Mark Cuban Deletes Post on Wild Anthony Davis-NBA Draft Lottery Trend as Wizards Get No. 1 Pick

Dallas Mavericks minority owner Mark Cuban knows the Washington Wizards' formula all too well.

A year after the Mavericks traded for star big man Anthony Davis and landed the No. 1 pick in the NBA draft, the Wizards did the same thing. Cuban shouted out the impressive trend on social media: "The Anthony Davis Effect !"

Cuban has since deleted his post.

Even when Davis was traded from the New Orleans Pelicans to the Los Angeles Lakers in 2019, the Pelicans landed the No. 1 pick.

The Wizards will be hoping to add a premier talent who will fit alongside Davis, star point guard Trae Young and the rest of their core as they try to contend for a spot in the playoffs next year.
