LaMelo Ball, Ana Montana Announce Birth of Son LaOne in IG Photos
Charlotte Hornets star point guard LaMelo Ball may not be playing in the playoffs, but he received an even bigger prize.
Ball and his partner, model Ana Montana, announced the birth of their son, LaOne, on Sunday. The couple welcomed their child this past January.
"Welcoming LaOne into the world has changed our hearts in the best way," Ball and Montana told Hannah Sacks of People. "Family has always meant everything to us, but becoming parents has given us an entirely new perspective on love, purpose, legacy and what truly matters most. "He has brought so much happiness and meaning into our lives, and we're incredibly grateful to God for trusting us with such a special blessing. We're embracing this new chapter with so much love and excitement as we raise and guide our son together."
Ball and Montana, whose real name is Analicia Chaves, also announced that they are launching I Am Fertility, which Sacks described as a platform and nonprofit dedicated to supporting women navigating fertility and IVF journeys. Montana also revealed that she is launching The HOPE Grant to provide direct financial assistance to women navigating IVF and fertility treatments. Two women will be awarded $5,000 each from the inaugural grant.
"At one point during my IVF journey, I felt overwhelmed, emotional, isolated and unsure where to turn," Montana told Sacks. "That experience inspired me to create I Am Fertility as a safe space where women don't have to face this journey alone. This is more than awareness, it's about creating real support, real access and a community where women feel seen, understood and hopeful."
