LeBron James, Mom Gloria Video Posted by NBA to Celebrate Mother's Day for Lakers Star's 23rd Season
The NBA celebrated Mother's Day with a highlight video of LeBron James and his mom, Gloria, by his side.
In the video, James is seen greeting his mom in the tunnel before a game and hugging her as she greets him on the bench.
As James plays in his record 23rd NBA season, he has spoken throughout his legendary career about the importance his mom played in his life.
The four-time NBA MVP wrote in 2014 about the challenges Gloria faced in being a single parent raising him.
"People always say I am devoted to my mother," James wrote. "That's true, but only because for every minute of my life, she has been devoted to me. My mother taught me what devotion truly means."
LeBron and Gloria will have time to enjoy the holiday together on Sunday since the Lakers are off.
Los Angeles will return to action on Monday when it hosts the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 4 of the Western Conference semifinals. The Lakers trail 3-0 as they look to keep their season alive.
