Draymond Green Says Steph Curry Gets Worse Whistle Than LeBron James, Responds to Lakers' Redick
Los Angeles Lakers head coach JJ Redick said LeBron James gets the "worst whistle of any star player I've ever seen" following Thursday's 125-107 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder, a night in which the Lakers were routinely frustrated with the officiating.
Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green had his own take on Redick's comments.
"The only thing I can say to that is—has he ever watched Steph Curry play?" he said on his podcast Saturday (34:25 mark). "And is Curry considered a star player, because—I've got nothing but love for LeBron—but if Curry is a star player, which I think he is, no one gets a worse whistle than [him]. So gotta disagree with JJ there."
Granted, if you polled 30 fanbases and teams around the NBA, every one would make the argument that their team's best player received the worst whistle, so keep that in mind.
Call it much ado about nothing. Complaining about the referees is a national pastime, after all.
