
NBA Playoff Bracket 2026, Updated Picture, Schedule After May 8
The second round of the 2026 NBA playoffs contained a pair of Game 3 matchups on Friday night.
First, the New York Knicks secured a 108-94 win over the Philadelphia 76ers to take a commanding 3-0 series lead. The San Antonio Spurs followed it up with a 115-108 victory against Minnesota Timberwolves, gaining a 2-1 advantage in their series.

Knicks 108, 76ers 94
Philadelphia opened the game on a 9-0 run, although New York quickly responded with an 8-2 run of its own.
The 76ers still kept the Knicks at bay for the remainder of the first quarter, taking a 31-27 lead into the second.
New York got on track offensively once the second quarter started, going on a 22-9 run to begin the period.
The Knicks took their first double-digit lead with four minutes left in the first half and eventually held a 60-52 edge at halftime.
Philadelphia responded midway through the third quarter, cutting the deficit to four points multiple times.
The Knicks were able to push their lead back to nine before the period came to a close, though.
The 76ers started the fourth quarter on a high note and only trailed 88-84 with just under nine minutes left in the game, but New York gained some more breathing room with an 11-2 run.
Philadelphia was never able to recover, as the Knicks emerged victorious.
Jalen Brunson finished with a game-high 33 points in the win, shooting 11-of-22 from the field and 3-of-8 from behind the arc. Brunson also dished out nine assists and grabbed five rebounds.
Mikal Bridges chipped in with 23 points on 8-of-14 shooting for the Knicks as well.
Spurs 115, Timberwolves 108
San Antonio looked sharp on both ends of the floor to begin the contest, jumping out to an 18-3 lead.
Still, the Timberwolves kept the game from getting out of hand and stormed back to only trail 23-22 at the end of the opening quarter.
Both squads battled throughout the second, as neither team led by more than six points during the period.
The score was tied 51-51 at the half following a last-second triple from Timberwolves forward Jaden McDaniels.
San Antonio found success offensively after halftime, racking up 35 points in the third quarter and holding an 86-79 advantage leading into the fourth.
Minnesota pulled to within two points as just under six minutes remained in the game and only trailed 106-103 with roughly three minutes left, but the Spurs routinely responded with clutch buckets to prevent the Timberwolves' comeback from being completed.
San Antonio was efficient offensively, amassing 26 assists compared to 10 turnovers.
Spurs star Victor Wembanyama tallied 39 points, 15 rebounds and five blocks while shooting 13-of-18 from the field in the win.
