Relive Michael Jordan's 'The Shot' over Craig Ehlo on Anniversary of Bulls Icon's Legendary Video

In a career loaded with legendary moments, one of Michael Jordan's most iconic occurred on this day 37 years ago.

On May 7, 1989, Jordan hit "The Shot" over Craig Ehlo to lead the Chicago Bulls to a 101-100 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 5 of their first-round playoff series.

The Cavs forced a decisive Game 5 by beating the Bulls in Chicago two days earlier.

Ehlo played one of the best games of his life in the closeout game with 24 points on 9-of-15 shooting in 27 minutes, but he had the misfortune of being the one trying to guard Jordan on the final possession of the game.

Jordan finished with 44 points, nine rebounds and six assists in 44 minutes.

Chicago went on to play in the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time in franchise history that season, eventually losing to the Detroit Pistons. It was two years later that Jordan and the Bulls went on to win the first of their six NBA titles.
