JR Smith Trolls LeBron Reading 'The Godfather' Book Every Year in NBA Playoffs in New Video
Retired NBA guard JR Smith provided some insight Tuesday into a superstition former teammate LeBron James has long practiced during the playoffs.

"The Godfather" inspired the critically acclaimed movie by the same name, but LeBron apparently prefers to immerse himself in the pages of the novel throughout the postseason.
As Smith knows, that has worked out well for James over the course of his career. LeBron has won four championships during stints with the Miami Heat, Cleveland Cavaliers and Los Angeles Lakers, and Smith was part of two of those title teams.
At 41 years of age, James is looking to add a fifth championship to his trophy case, and he already led the Lakers past the Houston Rockets in the first round. On Tuesday, L.A.'s second-round matchup with the reigning NBA champion Oklahoma City Thunder will commence.
