Chris Paul Jokes About Apparently Trolling Clippers with 'Funeral' Meme in New Video
Chris Paul declined to confirm that he was trolling the Los Angeles Clippers with the meme he posted on his Instagram story the night his former team was eliminated from the play-in tournament.
"I was just playing cards with my family, man. We were just playing," Paul said on ESPN's Pat McAfee Show.

NBA Combine Invites Announced
Paul posted a meme referencing stopping by his "biggest hater's funeral" shortly after the Clippers' season ended with an April 15 play-in loss to the Golden State Warriors.
Paul played his last game on Dec. 1, 2025. He had intended to finish out his NBA career by playing out the 2025-26 season with the Clippers before the franchise abruptly parted ways with him the next day.
Despite expressing interest in playing again shortly after his exit from Los Angeles, Paul didn't see any more NBA action last season. He was ultimately traded to the Toronto Raptors and waived before announcing his retirement from the NBA in February.
Paul ended his playing career as one of the best point guards in NBA history while trailing John Stockton for the all-time NBA lead in both assists and steals. He will be eligible for induction into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in 2030.
