Kon Knueppel's Brother Kager Lands Duke Offer, Everything to Know About 3-Star Prospect

Following the collegiate success of Kon Knueppel during the 2024-25 season, Duke has officially entered the recruiting mix for his younger brother, Kager Knueppel.

Kager's AAU squad, Team Herro, announced Tuesday that Duke made the talented forward a scholarship offer:

Per 247Sports, the younger Knueppel is a 3-star prospect, as well as the No. 82 overall recruit, No. 12 power forward and No. 5 player from the state of Wisconsin in the class of 2027.

Listed at 6'9" and 205 pounds, Knueppel stars at Wisconsin Lutheran High School in Milwaukee, just like his older brother Kon did a couple of years ago.

Duke is the highest-profile school to make Kager an offer thus far, but he has plenty of other interest as well with offers from Purdue, Wisconsin, DePaul and Toledo, per 247Sports.

It likely doesn't hurt Kager's cause that Kon was a big-time contributor at Duke last season before quickly ascending to NBA stardom this season.

In his only campaign with the Blue Devils, Kon averaged 14.4 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 2.2 three-pointers made and 1.0 steal per game, while shooting 47.9 percent from the field and 40.6 percent from beyond the arc.

He was somehow even more productive in his first professional season after the Charlotte Hornets selected him fourth overall in the 2025 NBA draft, averaging 18.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 3.4 three-pointers made on 47.5 percent shooting from the floor and 42.5 percent shooting from deep.

Knueppel finished a narrow second in the NBA Rookie of the Year voting behind only Dallas Mavericks star Cooper Flagg, who was his teammate at Duke.

While Kager may be hard-pressed to become as good of a shooter as his big brother, he is already a few inches taller than Kon, who is listed at 6'6".

If Kager can combine that size with the ability to knock down mid-to-long-range shots while also doing work on the glass, he has a chance to be a difference-maker at Duke or whatever college he ultimately decides to attend.
