Stefon Diggs, Deebo Samuel's Best Landing Spots After 2026 NFL Draft
Both Stefon Diggs and Deebo Samuel remain unsigned, but the conclusion of the 2026 NFL could help better shape what kind of market the veteran wide receivers will have moving forward.
Diggs had 85 receptions for 1,013 yards and four touchdowns with the New England Patriots in 2025. The 32-year-old will never recapture a peak that resulted in four straight Pro Bowl nods, but he was a dependable option for New England as it reached the Super Bowl.
Samuel had 727 yards and five touchdowns from 72 catches with the Washington Commanders. As time goes on, his All-Pro campaign in 2021 looks like a bigger outlier. Like Diggs, though, he still has plenty to offer an NFL offense.
Here's where each could fit now that the draft is over.

The Las Vegas Raiders hope to have their quarterback of the future in Fernando Mendoza. The Heisman Trophy winner went first overall.
Las Vegas didn't address its receiving corps until the sixth round, however, when it took Oregon's Malik Benson. That's an area the team could stand to improve to better create a setting where Mendoza hits the ground running.
Diggs also has an existing rapport with Kirk Cousins, which would help in the event Cousins wins the starting job for Week 1.
The Kansas City Chiefs are in a much different spot organizationally. They're aiming to contend despite quarterback Patrick Mahomes recovering from a torn ACL.
Like the Raiders, the Chiefs didn't take a receiver until Day 3. Cincinnati's Cyrus Allen went in the fifth round, so signing Diggs to a short-term contract makes sense for Kansas City.
Would one of Diggs' old teams consider a reunion?
Jordan Addison has yet to make a true breakthrough with the Minnesota Vikings. The team's depth really falls off once you get past him and Justin Jefferson as well.
The Vikings have one quarterback on a one-year contract (Kyler Murray) and another who may be heading into a make-or-break season (J.J. McCarthy). Bringing Diggs back to Minneapolis has some merit.

The Los Angeles Rams' need for a wideout reflected less on their current options and said more about the fact Davante Adams is a free agent in 2027. Miami's CJ Daniels, a sixth-round pick, might be enough to make the coaching staff comfortable in terms of the receiver room.
Sean McVay is the kind of coach who could utilize Samuel to great effect, though. Depending on the financial terms, it's an opportunity L.A. may not want to pass up.
The New York Giants selected Notre Dame's Malachi Fields in the third round and traded up to get him. The team is presumably expecting a lot of him.
At the same time, New York brought Odell Beckham Jr. in for a physical earlier this week. Should the Giants want more experience in the passing game, Samuel would give them better bang for their buck than OBJ.
