Jaylen Brown Stars in Steven Spielberg's 'Disclosure Day' Teaser Video Amid Celtics' NBA Playoff Run

Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown appeared in a teaser trailer for "Disclosure Day," the upcoming science fiction film directed by Steven Spielberg.

Brown has a great love and appreciation for science, as he noted when he gave a speech at scientist, educator and children's television show host Bill Nye's Hollywood Walk of Fame star dedication ceremony.

"My love for science runs deep, and I have Bill to thank for that," Brown said in part (h/t ESPN's J.J. Post). "But not just for myself, [but] for a generation of students who grew up in the public school system possibly thinking that school was not for them."

Brown, through his 7uice Foundation, has also created a Bridge program with a science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM) curriculum for students from underrepresented communities, per Samantha Dorisca of Afro Tech.

The program partners with MIT's Media Lab for a four-day summer camp for students from eighth through 12th grade.

He explained the program during an appearance on the Stephen A. Smith Show.

"I designed a curriculum over at MIT pretty much every summer…I take kids from Dorchester, from Roxbury, from underrepresented communities and build the bridge for them at MIT," he said (h/t Dorisca).

"I think that's important because they get the exposure from the STEM- and STEAM-based curriculums that can also help shape their social mobility, so just by putting in this environment, allowing them to get internships, allowing them to sign up for different programs, allowing them to be in a space where they see their self being successful instead of being in a place that, you know, there's not too many opportunities."

Emily Blunt, Josh O'Connor and Colin Firth star in Disclosure Day, which will be released on Friday, June 12.

Per Variety's Arushi Jacob, "Blunt plays a Kansas City TV meteorologist who is suddenly overcome by a mysterious extraterrestrial force while taping a weather segment live on air. O'Connor stars as an alien life believer, determined to reveal the truth about life outside of Earth to the rest of the world."

As for Brown, he just scored 36 points against the Philadelphia 76ers in Game 2 of their first round playoff series, but the 76ers won 111-98 behind 30 points from rookie V.J. Edgecombe and 29 more from Tyrese Maxey. The series, now tied at one game apiece, moves to Philadelphia for Game 3 on Friday evening.
