Prior to the start of their first-round NBA playoff series against the Houston Rockets this weekend, the Los Angeles Lakers posted a video of LeBron James and the rest of the team preparing for the postseason grind.
The video starts with the 41-year-old James pushing himself to the limit on a stationary bike before showing some behind-the-scenes footage of practice:
L.A. is the No. 4 seed, but it enters the first round of the playoffs as a substantial underdog since Luka Dončić and Austin Reaves are both injured, and it is unclear when they will be able to return.
In order to get the better of Kevin Durant and the Rockets, the Lakers will likely need a vintage performance out of James, who has taken a backseat to Dončić for much of the season.
The Lakers can't be completely counted out with James leading the way, though, as he is the NBA's all-time leading scorer in addition to being a four-time NBA MVP, four-time NBA champion and four-time NBA Finals MVP.
