Brandon Ingram Calls Out 'Idiots on Social Media' Ahead of Raptors' NBA Playoff Series vs. Cavs
Brandon Ingram isn't sweating the doubters ahead of Toronto's first-round matchup against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
"That don't really matter to me. There are a lot of idiots on social media," he told reporters Thursday. "You just have a lot of people that don't know what's going on. If the narrative was whether or not I still had it, I'm only 28 years old."
The Raptors will feel good about this matchup, given they swept the season series, 3-0. There is one asterisk to that, however—all three games came before December. And while Cleveland got off to a slow start this season (17-16), they gone 35-14 since and have been one of the NBA's hottest teams since the turn of the calendar.
As for Ingram, he led the Raptors in scoring this season (21.5 PPG) while adding 5.6 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game. The trio of Ingram, Scottie Barnes and RJ Barrett led the Raptors to a 46-36 record and surprising postseason berth.
Most will favor the Cavaliers in this series, but Ingram isn't fazed.
