LeBron James, Bronny, Lakers Beat Jazz as Fans Eye NBA Playoff Matchup vs. Durant, Rockets
The Los Angeles Lakers are the No. 4 seed in the Western Conference Playoffs.
L.A. did its part to jump up higher than that, beating the Utah Jazz 131-107 on Sunday led by LeBron James' 18 points, six assists and four rebounds in 18 minutes of action.
Rui Hachimura and Deandre Ayton added 22 points apiece, while Bronny James contributed 11 points and four assists off the bench.
But the Denver Nuggets retained the No. 3 seed after beating the San Antonio Spurs, 128-118, setting up a matchup between the Lakers and Houston Rockets in the first round of the NBA playoffs.
It's very possible the Lakers will be without both Luka Dončić and Austin Reaves for some, if not all, of that series as they each recover from injuries, leaving the Lakers with long odds to advance.
But the team's season will continue for at least four more games, and folks seem excited to see James battle Kevin Durant yet again:
The Lakers have quite the mountain to climb without Dončić and Reaves. It's going to take a very special series from LeBron James to get past a talented Rockets squad without his two best running mates.
