Perhaps no name on the list is bigger or more recognizable than that of Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James.
Over the course of his 23-year NBA career with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat and Lakers, James is the NBA's all-time leading scorer, in addition to being a 22-time All-Star, four-time NBA MVP, four-time NBA champion and four-time NBA Finals MVP.
He is in the conversation of being the greatest basketball player of all time, which is something that can also be said for fellow Lakers legends Magic Johnson and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar who made the list as well.
Others on the list who are part of the GOAT debate in their respective sports include eight-time WWE champion The Rock, 23-time Grand Slam tennis singles champion Serena Williams, five-time Wimbledon champion Venus Williams, four-time WNBA champion and three-time WNBA MVP Sheryl Swoopes and seven-time Olympic gold medal-winning gymnast Simone Biles.
Many of those on the list expanded their stardom and influence outside the sports realm as well, such as The Rock and Arnold Schwarzenegger, who are perhaps now best known for their success as Hollywood actors.
Several of the team owners/governors on the list have championships on their résumés, including Mark Cuban, Ted Leonsis, Marc Lasry, Marian Ilitch and Joe Ricketts, underscoring their success across multiple industries.
