
LeBron James Hailed By NBA Fans as Bronny, Lakers Beat Warriors Amid Luka Doncic, Reaves Injuries
LeBron James led the Los Angeles Lakers to a lopsided 119-103 win over the Golden State Warriors on Thursday night.
James finished with 26 points, 11 assists, eight rebounds, two steals and one block. He shot 11-of-17 from the field and 3-of-5 from behind the arc.
It was a particularly impressive win for the Lakers, as they were missing Luka Dončić and Austin Reaves due to injuries.
Bronny James also made his presence felt in the game, scoring 10 points on 4-of-7 shooting off the bench.
Fans and pundits were impressed with LeBron's performance in the victory.
The Lakers opened Friday's game with a 16-8 lead, but the Warriors immediately responded with an 8-2 run to stay within striking distance.
Los Angeles led 28-23 at the end of the first quarter and pushed its advantage to 53-45 as the first half started to wind down, although consecutive buckets from Golden State guard Brandin Podziemski kept his team within four points at halftime.
The Lakers finally gained some separation to start the second half, taking an 11-point edge with just under 10 minutes remaining in the third quarter.
They didn't face much resistance throughout the rest of the contest, leading by as many as 27 points while cruising to the win.
It's worth noting that Warriors star Stephen Curry didn't suit up on Thursday due to right knee injury management.
As for the Lakers, they were able to emerge victorious with an explosive offensive performance. They dished out 37 assists as a team and shot 55.2 percent from behind the arc.
Deandre Ayton scored 21 points and grabbed five rebounds for Los Angeles, while Luke Kennard chipped in with 14 points and eight assists.
The Lakers improved to 51-29 with the win, as Golden State fell to 37-43.
