Warriors' Steph Curry Reflects on Playing With Brother Seth for 1st Time as Teammates in NBA

Joseph ZuckerApr 6, 2026

Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry returned from injury in Sunday's 117-116 loss to the Houston Rockets, and he marked an important personal achievement in doing so.

Curry played alongside younger brother Seth for the first time in his NBA career. He called it "a dream come true" after the game, saying he was temporarily transported back to his high school days:

The Currys both came off the bench against Houston. Steph scored a team-high 29 points in 26 minutes, while Seth logged 13 minutes and scored six points.

Although the season has been a disappointment for Golden State, the Curry brothers getting onto the floor at least created a cool moment.

It's one that would've happened a lot earlier if injuries hadn't gotten in the way.

Seth originally signed with the Warriors in October but got waived before the season opened. He returned in December and debuted in a Dec. 2 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder. That came during a brief absence for Steph, who was also sidelined when Seth appeared sporadically last month.

"We've played against each other for a while now," Seth said after Monday's contest, per The Athletic's Nick Friedell. "For us to be on the same floor together as teammates was a different dynamic, and I'm sure everybody was watching on the East Coast — (our mother) was over there sneaking pictures when we were both in the hall trying to get loose. She was really excited."

The Currys should be afforded more time on the court together. Golden State has four games left in the regular season and is guaranteed to play at least once in the play-in tournament.
