LeBron James Reveals How Bronny Has Given Him 'More of a Purpose' with Lakers in Video
Even beyond his long-stated desire to play with his son in the NBA, LeBron James has opened about how the addition of Bronny James to the Los Angeles Lakers' roster impacted his desire to keep working hard at this late stage of his career.
On Bob Does Sports (starts at 16:16 mark), James explained he has "more of a purpose" because he wants to set an example for Bronny to follow going forward in his career.
"I have even more of a purpose to show up to work, to work out, to train because I know he's looking like, okay, that's how you be a professional right there. So, I have a responsibility with him around," said LeBron.
There has been a lot of attention over the years about James spending around $1.5 million annually on his body, which includes everything from training and personal chefs to cryotherapy and hyperbaric chambers.
Even though James has never confirmed that figure, it's obvious based on how long he has been able to maintain a high level of play in the NBA that his dedication to staying in peak condition has never wavered.
Bronny seems to have taken the example set by his father. Lakers head coach JJ Redick has praised the 21-year-old for the strides he has made since entering the NBA as a second-round draft pick in 2024.
