CBB HC Hypes Duke's Cameron Boozer as 'The Best Player I've Ever Coached Against'
There have been a number of legendary players to suit up for Duke's men's basketball team throughout its illustrious history, and Cameron Boozer has a chance to cement his legacy as the latest one during the upcoming NCAA tournament.
To hear one ACC coach put it, nobody will be able to stop him.
"He's the best player I've ever coached against in college basketball," the coach said, per ESPN's Jeff Borzello. "Nobody has a matchup for him. He does everything. He scores in the post, unbelievable rebounder, can make threes. Terrific IQ and passer and creator. Handles the ball in ball screens, and literally nobody maybe outside of Caleb Wilson is a good matchup for him in the country."

Boozer arrived with plenty of expectations as the son of two-time NBA All-Star Carlos Boozer and a 5-star prospect and No. 3 overall player in the 2025 recruiting class, per 247Sports' composite rankings.
Yet he surpassed them as the ACC Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year while leading the Blue Devils to an ACC regular-season and tournament title.
He averaged 22.5 points, 10.2 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 1.5 steals a night while shooting 56.5 percent from the field and 40.9 percent from deep. He is a matchup nightmare with his size, athleticism and shooting touch and will surely follow in his father's footsteps and reach the NBA sooner rather than later.
In fact, B/R's Jonathan Wasserman projected Boozer as the No. 2 overall pick in his most recent mock draft.
First, though, is the tournament, and the freshman will need to lead the way even more than usual for the Blue Devils with Caleb Foster and Patrick Ngongba II both dealing with injuries.
But if he remains unstoppable, a national championship could certainly be in Duke's immediate future.
