The Golden State Warriors announced Saturday that superstar guard Stephen Curry will miss at least two more games before being re-evaluated for a knee injury next week.

In a statement, the Warriors noted that Curry will miss his 21st and 22nd consecutive games Saturday against the Atlanta Hawks and Monday against the Dallas Mavericks:

The team revealed that Curry is making "good progress" and will be "incorporated into live action and team practices in the coming days," before being re-evaluated when the Dubs return home for Wednesday's game against the Brooklyn Nets.

Curry has missed the past 20 games while dealing with patellofemoral pain syndrome, which is also known as "runner's knee."

According to ESPN's Shams Charania and Anthony Slater, the two-time MVP's health issue initially surfaced during an individual workout in Minneapolis on Jan. 24. Curry was hopeful to return immediately following the All-Star break, but experienced multiple setbacks while recovering.

He hasn't appeared in a game since Jan. 30, with the Warriors announcing that he would miss at least 10 more days due to the injury on March 11.

Charania reported March 18 that there was "cautious optimism" Curry would be able to return to Golden State's lineup "at some point by the end of the month."

His return would provide a boost to a Warriors squad battling for postseason positioning in the Western Conference standings, currently holding the No. 10 spot in the West with a 33-37 record.

Golden State has lost seven of its past eight games, but it still holds an 8.5 game for the final postseason play-in spot in the West.

Curry is still performing at a high level at 38 years old, earning his 12th All-Star nod this season. He's averaging 27.2 points, 4.8 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 1.1 steals per game on 46.8/39.1/93.1 shooting splits across 39 appearances.
