AP College Basketball Poll 2026 Final Rankings After March Madness Bracket Reveal
After the NCAA tournament's selection committee had their say, the Associated Press Top 25 poll voters weighed in with the 2025-26 regular season in the books.
Duke stayed on top for the fourth straight week, beating Virginia 74-70 in the ACC tourney final on Saturday. Arizona continues to be right at the Blue Devils' heels after a 79-74 victory over Houston secured a Big 12 title.
For Florida, a 91-74 loss to Vanderbilt didn't prove too costly. While the Gators' 12-game winning streak came to an end, they remained fourth in the AP poll and earned a No. 1 seed in the Big Dance.
The same goes for Michigan, which suffered only its third defeat on the year when it came up short, 80-72, to Purdue in the Big Ten final.
The Boilermakers had the biggest jump of anybody, moving 10 spots up in the poll to No. 8, after lifting its third conference tournament title.

The Commodores got a nice boost from championship week, moving up from 22nd to 16th in the AP poll. They also received a No. 5 seed in the NCAA tournament their best position since 2011-12.
Tyler Tanner and Jalen Washington combined for 37 points in the blowout over Florida. As a team, Vandy shot 54.5 percent from the field and went 10-of-21 from beyond the arc.
The Commodores' luck ran out in Sunday's final against Arkansas.
Virginia and Wisconsin each solidified its position in the AP poll and NCAA tournament field despite failing to win its conference. The Cavaliers handled their business against North Carolina State and Miami before pushing Duke hard in the final. The Badgers upset Illinois 91-88 in overtime and nearly pushed Michigan to OT.
Yaxel Lendeborg won it right at the buzzer for the Wolverines.
The conference tourneys were less beneficial for Kansas, Tennessee, Texas Tech and Miami (Ohio).
The RedHawks' perfect record evaporated in their first game of the MAC tournament. They got tripped up against UMass, losing 87-83. While that wasn't enough to dash their hopes of earning a berth in the Big Dance, they lost valuable position in the overall seeding.
The Jayhawks, Volunteers and Red Raiders all made their roads a little more difficult as well.
Kansas was outclassed by Houston in the Big 12 tournament, mustering only 47 points in a lopsided defeat. Tennessee fell out of the Top 25 with the Vandy loss. And Texas Tech is heading into the tournament on a three-game losing streak. The Red Raiders are really starting to feel the absence of leading scorer JT Toppin.
