New A.J. Brown Trade Rumors on 'Inevitable' Deal, Updates on Rams, Patriots Interest in Eagles WR
Whether the Philadelphia Eagles will move on from A.J. Brown through a trade has been one of the biggest questions of the offseason, and it seems that all signs are now pointing toward his exit.
According to Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio, several league sources have described Brown being traded as "inevitable."
While a trade may be inevitable, the timing of that trade is still in question. Florio noted that the initial belief was that Philadelphia would wait until after June 1 to ease the cap hit, but now it is believed that the Eagles could take on the dead-cap charge in 2026, given how the early part of free agency has played out.

Brown is under contract through 2029 and has a $23.3 million cap hit in 2026.
Talks appeared to be heating up with both the Los Angeles Rams and New England Patriots in recent days, but The Athletic's Dianna Russini reported Friday that "no move is imminent." Russini added that a trade "would likely heat up closer to June 1."
Brown's reported wishlist of landing spots includes the Los Angeles Chargers, Buffalo Bills, Kansas City Chiefs and Patriots.
Philadelphia could do a 180 and decide to keep Brown around, but at this point, it appears a trade is coming eventually.
