AJ Dybantsa, Kevin Durant Dual Autograph Card Revealed By Topps After BYU Star Sets Big 12 Record
BYU standout AJ Dybantsa set the new Big 12 tournament freshman scoring record on Tuesday, racking up 40 points during the Cougars' 105-91 win over Kansas State.
After Dybantsa broke the record that was previously held by NBA star and former Texas forward Kevin Durant, Topps revealed a new one-of-one dual autograph card featuring the two players.
Durant previously scored 37 points in a matchup with Kansas during the 2007 Big 12 tournament.
His impressive freshman season with the Longhorns led to him being selected with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2007 NBA draft, and it isn't difficult to imagine Dybantsa hearing his name called early in the 2026 draft.
He's averaging 25.2 points, 6.8 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 1.1 steals per game throughout his first year at BYU. Dybantsa is also shooting 52.0 percent from the field and 33.8 percent from behind the arc.
The 19-year-old was projected to be off the board with the No. 1 overall pick in the latest mock draft from Bleacher Report's Jonathan Wasserman.
For now, Dybantsa will focus on helping the Cougars attempt to capture their first Big 12 tournament title since officially joining the conference ahead of the 2023-24 season.
