Maxx Crosby Reportedly Frustrated by Tom Brady's Former Trainer Amid Raiders Trade Rumors
As the Las Vegas Raiders figure out their path forward and whether or not it will include Maxx Crosby, the five-time Pro Bowler has taken some issue with who the organization allows to spend time around the team.
Per The Athletic's Michael Silver, Crosby spent last season "frustrated by the presence" of Tom Brady's former trainer, Alex Guerrero, who was often at practices and team meetings:

Jaguars' Hypothetical Alvin Kamara Trade Offer
"Guerrero, who regularly attends practices and meetings, purports to possess significant organizational power, informing players of impending transactions and even indicating to staff members who don't follow his instructions that their jobs may be at risk.
"Guerrero is perceived to have a direct pipeline to Brady, who lives in Florida and serves as Fox's lead NFL analyst, limiting his in-person presence. Suffice it to say that there are trust issues permeating the Raiders' training facility in Henderson, Nev."
The Raiders formally hired Guerrero as their wellness coordinator in August 2025. His position came with the franchise came less than a year after the league unanimously voted to approve Brady's ownership stake in the Raiders.
Guerrero began working with Brady as his body coach in 2005. He was often a hot-button topic during the later years of Brady's tenure with the New England Patriots.
Brady was often reluctant to discuss Guerrero traveling with the Patriots on team flights despite head coach Bill Belichick reportedly taking steps to limit Guerrero's presence around the club.
Crosby's future with the Raiders is one of the biggest storylines in the NFL entering the start of the new league year next week. He was reportedly unhappy with the team's decision to shut him down for the final two games last season due to a knee injury, believing he could play through it and get surgery later on.
Even though Crosby has publicly deflected any questions about his relationship with the Raiders and new head coach Klint Kubiak has expressed hope to keep him, Silver did note a trade is "expected" in the coming days or weeks.
NFL insider Benjamin Allbright has said the Chicago Bears would be Crosby's preferred landing spot, but their cap situation would make it difficult to fit his contract on their books.
Crosby recorded 20 quarterback hits and 10 sacks in 15 starts for the Raiders last season. His 69.5 sacks since his rookie season in 2019 are the sixth-most in the NFL.
