Here's a look at the Timberwolves updated depth chart.

2025-26 Timberwolves Depth Chart

  • PG: Donte DiVincenzo, Mike Conley
  • SG: Anthony Edwards, Bones Hyland, Ayo Dosunmu
  • SF: Jaden McDaniels, Kyle Anderson, Jaylen Clark
  • PF: Julius Randle, Naz Reid, Julian Phillips
  • C: Rudy Gobert, Joan Beringer

Anderson, a first-round draft pick by the San Antonio Spurs in 2014, spent the first four years of his career with San Antonio before a four-year stint with Memphis, where he had some of his best seasons.

Anderson then played for the Timberwolves for two seasons and helped the team reach the Western Conference Finals in 2024. Minnesota traded Anderson to the Golden State Warriors ahead of last season, but he played just 36 games with the team before being sent to the Miami Heat in the Jimmy Butler deal.

Over the offseason, the Heat traded Anderson to the Utah Jazz, but it was once again a brief stop for him, as he was dealt back to Memphis in a trade that sent Jaren Jackson Jr. to the Jazz.

Anderson played just four games with Memphis before the team opted to buy out his contract. The 32-year-old is putting up 7.5 points, 3.3 assists and 2.7 boards per game this year.

The change of scenery gives Anderson the chance to play for a championship contender rather than a squad likely focused on rebuilding. The Grizzlies are in 11th place in the West at 21-36, whereas the Timberwolves are sitting in fifth at 36-23.
