NBA Legend Chris Bosh Details Recent Health Scare, 'I Woke Up Covered In My Own Blood'
NBA Hall of Famer Chris Bosh revealed Wednesday that he recently had a health scare that resulted in him waking up "covered in my own blood."
"I was getting ready to go on a date with my wife, and the next thing you know I was on the ground," he revealed on a video posted to social media. "I won't get into specifics, but you can kinda see I'm still recovering [points to eyes]. ... It was a scary thing and it came fast. And it made me really have a different outlook on life."

Health issues cut Bosh's NBA career short. The 11-time All-Star and two-time champion was hospitalized with life-threatening blood clots in his lungs in 2015, and in 2016 a blood clot was discovered in his left leg, a condition that was ultimately determined to be a career-ending illness by an NBA doctor.
While Bosh tried to make a comeback despite that prognosis, he never played another NBA game and officially retired in 2019.
