Anthony Edwards Tells Norman Powell Living In Miami 'Look Like a Vibe' in NBA All-Star Video

Paul KasabianFeb 24, 2026

Video has surfaced of Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards meeting up with Miami Heat guard Norman Powell at an All-Star weekend media shoot and asking about how the 11-year veteran has taken to his new home.

To be very clear, Edwards is thriving and seems happy in Minnesota, which signed the 24-year-old to a five-year, $244.6 million maximum rookie extension that runs through the 2028-29 season.

He's a four-time All-Star and two-time All-NBA player who has led Minnesota to the Western Conference Finals each of the past two seasons. The six-year veteran is also averaging a career-high 29.5 points this year for the 35-23 Timberwolves, who are sixth in the Western Conference.

Things are going great for Edwards in Minnesota, and there's zero inclination he's looking to leave any time soon. However, he does clearly like Miami and has a healthy respect for Heat Culture and head coach Erik Spoelstra, who was an assistant on the Team USA Olympic basketball team that won gold at the 2024 Summer Olympics. Edwards was fourth on the team in scoring.

"He's been dope man, bringing a lot of energy and the 'Heat Culture,"' Edwards said in August 2023 to Complex Sports (h/t Jayden Armant for Miami Heat on SI). "It's exciting to see. His first day with the scout (team), I was like 'I see what they mean when they say Heat Culture'. They come out with a lot of energy and are right to the point and super precise with the details."

In the present day, Edwards is trying to lead Minnesota to its first-ever NBA Finals.
