LaMelo Ball Makes Hornets History With 3-Pointers vs. Wizards, How Many Did He Make?

Charlotte Hornets point guard LaMelo Ball etched his name in the franchise's record books with a special performance in Sunday's game against the Washington Wizards.

Ball exploded with 10 three-pointers made through three quarters, tying the Hornets' single-game franchise record that is also held by Kemba Walker, Terry Rozier, Kelly Oubre Jr. and Devonte' Graham.

Ball had six triples in the third quarter alone on seven attempts, and the Hornets nailed 12 three-pointers in the frame to tie the NBA record for the most in a single quarter, the team announced.

Despite playing just 27 minutes, Ball racked up 37 points, just one shy of his season-high of 38 in a win over the Wizards in October. His performance on Sunday is especially encouraging after he was held under 20 points in his last two games. He also added eight rebounds and seven assists.

If Ball can keep up his hot shooting, the Hornets will have a better chance at competing for a playoff spot down the stretch this season.
