The 2024 second-round draft pick entered Saturday in a G League groove, averaging 15.2 points on 53.6 percent shooting, 4.8 assists and 3.8 rebounds per game.

He continued excelling on Saturday, particularly in the third quarter, when he scored nine points.

Elsewhere in the box score, Drew Timme scored 24 points, and R.J. Davis added 23. Ryan Nembhard led Texas with 24 points.

The Lakers are cruising in G League play right now with three straight wins to move to 13-8, good enough for fifth in the Western Conference. The presence of James, who made 29 appearances with the NBA's Lakers earlier this season, has certainly helped.

South Bay's next game is on Wednesday at the Valley Suns.
