Celtics' Jayson Tatum Gifts Duke WCBB Pairs of His 4th Signature Shoe in Video, Photos
Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum gifted Duke women's basketball team players (and staff) pairs of his Jordan Tatum 4 sneakers.
Tatum is a former Duke Blue Devil who starred during the 2016-17 season before leaving for the NBA draft, where the Celtics selected him with the third overall pick.
Tatum noted how this particular colorway meant a lot to him because it's a spinoff of the JT2 colorway he wore during Game 5 of the 2024 NBA Finals, when he earned his first-ever NBA title.
Video showed the Duke team thrilled to receive the new shoes. The Blue Devils have a lot to be happy about these days, as they've overcome a 3-6 start to win 16 straight (including all 14 of their ACC games thus far). A 72-68 home win over arch-rival UNC serves as the latest victory in that stretch.
Duke, which has risen to No. 9 in the latest Associated Press poll, looks to keep the streak going (with some new shoes in tow) on Thursday when it hosts NC State.
