Chris Paul's Wife Jada Shades Clippers With Tribute Video Comment After NBA Retirement, 'Girl, Bye'

Chris Paul's wife, Jada, took a shot at the Los Angeles Clippers in a tribute video posted by the team on Instagram for his retirement.

"Girl, bye," Jada commented on the Clippers' video.

As for Chris, he announced his retirement after he was waived by the Toronto Raptors on Friday.

The 12-time All-Star signed a one-year deal contract worth $3.6 million with the Clippers in July 2025, returning to the organization that he previously spent six seasons with from 2011-17.

In Nov 2025, Paul revealed his initial intention to retire at the end of the season.

His second stint in Los Angeles didn't go as planned, as he averaged just 2.9 points in 14.3 minutes per game on 32.1/33.3/50.0 shooting splits.

The Clippers eventually announced that they were sending him home and cutting ties with him on Dec. 3. They owned a mere 5-16 record at the time.

ESPN's Shams Charania reported that "Paul and his leadership style clashed with" Los Angeles, as head coach Tyronn Lue and the 40-year-old were not on speaking terms for "several weeks" during his tenure.

Paul didn't appear in another game with the Clippers and he was eventually traded to the Raptors as part of a three-team swap on Feb. 4.

Los Angeles currently sits at No. 10 in the Western Conference standings with a 26-28 record.
