'Ridiculous,' Steph Curry Calls Out Jonathan Kuminga Rumors in IG Post After Warriors Trade
On Wednesday, ESPN's Anthony Slater reported that the Golden State Warriors and Jonathan Kuminga reached "the most tense flare-up in what team sources otherwise described as a relatively cordial cold war" in December when the player missed a team event and was told that "someone around him was taking too much food from the family room."
Multiple team sources felt the disconnect between the player and organization had grown "petty" by that point, and when the news broke about the food situation on Wednesday, even Stephen Curry offered what was essentially an eye roll in response:

Curry wasn't the only former teammate to come to Kuminga's defense, though Buddy Hield offered a more tongue-in-cheek response.
"They lying it was Jimmy," he wrote on Instagram, jokingly blaming Jimmy Butler.
Kuminga was mercifully traded to the Atlanta Hawks ahead of February's trade deadline in the deal that brought Kristaps Porziņģis to the Bay Area. That ended what had become a very drawn-out saga between Kuminga and the organization, as both sides were seemingly eager to part ways.
Hopefully Kuminga didn't stuff his pockets with too much food from the family room on his way out.
