James Harden Hypes Clippers After Cavs Trade, 'One of the Best Organizations That I've Been In'
After making his debut for the Cleveland Cavaliers on Saturday following his trade from the Los Angeles Clippers, star guard James Harden had nothing but kind things to say about his old organization.
While speaking to reporters after the Cavs' 132-126 win over the Sacramento Kings, Harden described the Clippers as "one of the best organizations that I've been in from top to bottom" and praised the franchise's front office, coaching staff and his former teammates.
Harden joined the Clippers in 2023, giving the Los Angeles native an opportunity to star for his hometown team. Unfortunately, he was unable to lead the franchise to playoff success, and the team's bleak championship outlook this year led to him being traded for the fifth time in his career.
Harden recorded 23 points and eight assists in his Cavs debut on Saturday against the Kings, which helped Cleveland improve to 32-21 with 10 wins in its last 12 games.
Now that his Clippers tenure is officially in his rearview, Harden will focus on trying to win an elusive NBA championship with the Cavs. Cleveland will be back in action on Monday night against the Denver Nuggets (34-19).
