After months of trade rumors surrounding star forward Giannis Antetokounmpo, the Milwaukee Bucks had some fun with the person responsible for most of the speculation.

Bucks head coach Doc Rivers jokingly told reporters on Thursday that Antetokounmpo said he's going to put ESPN's Shams Charania on the trading block before coaching the Celebrity All-Star Game later this month.

Charania spent months reporting on the trade rumors surrounding Antetokounmpo, but heĀ revealedĀ on Thursday that the Bucks "indicated to teams that they are keeping" the two-time NBA MVP past the deadline. The team also posted a yawning emoji after the news dropped.

Antetokounmpo said himself that he wanted to remain in Milwaukee,Ā recently tellingĀ The Athletic'sĀ Eric NehmĀ that he wanted to remain with the franchise for the entirety of his career. While there's still a chance that the Bucks reopen trade negotiations over the summer, the 31-year-old got his wish for now, and he also had some fun on social media by posting a famous clip fromĀ The Wolf of Wall Street.

Now that the dust has settled, Charania will surely be the center of attention during the celebrity game on Feb. 13. Team Antetokounmpo will also feature former NBA stars Jeremy Lin and Tacko Fall and Detroit Lions star receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown. Charania recently discussed his skills on an episode of NBA Today, saying, "I'm a shooter, I can handle the ball, and I can make my floaters."

However, it remains to be seen how much time Antetokounmpo will give Charania on the court now that the tables are turned.
