Latest NBA Trade Rumors on Miles Bridges amid Warriors, Suns, Bucks Links at 2026 Deadline
The Charlotte Hornets are reportedly fielding trade interest for swingman Miles Bridges ahead of Thursday's deadline, but it sounds like he won't be going anywhere.
The Athletic's Sam Amick reported that the Milwaukee Bucks, Golden State Warriors and Phoenix Suns are "known to covet" Bridges in a potential trade, but he is "now expected to stay put" past the deadline.
The Hornets overcame a tough start to the year and now have a 23-28 record behind a seven-game win streak. Bridges is a member of Charlotte's young core that has been in a perpetual rebuild for years, but it appears that the team is finally starting to put it all together.
Bridges has started all 50 of his appearances this season and is averaging 18.3 points, 6.1 rebounds and 3.5 assists. Amick noted that there's "significant interest" in acquiring him from around the league, but a league source close to the 27-year-old "said he is highly likely to remain" in Charlotte.
Amid the Hornets' recent success, the players have built an undeniable chemistry that Bridges is hoping stays intact.
"I feel like everybody else wants everybody to stay together," Hornets veteran wing Miles Bridges told Roderick Boone of the Charlotte Observer last month. "But you've just got to control what you can control, continue to stack games."
The Hornets won't be in action again until after the trade deadline on Thursday night against the Houston Rockets, so it remains to be seen if Bridges will get his wish. It can be expected that teams will continue trying to put together enticing offers to convince Charlotte to ship him away.
