NBA Fans Call Out Joel Embiid, Kawhi Leonard, Dillon Brooks Snubs as All-Star Reserves Revealed

The NBA All-Star Game reserves were announced on Sunday and, as you might imagine, they engendered some strong opinions.

But first, the picks. Here are the Eastern Conference selections:

And here are the picks from the West:

One of the bigger names left off the reserve list was Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid. He divides opinion, given that he's only played in 28 games this season, but he's been excellent when on the court (26.2 PPG, 7.5 RPG, 1.1 BPG) and has been heating up of late, with six games of 30 or more points in his last seven contests.

That had some fans questioning why he didn't get the nod (though he would be a pretty natural injury replacement for Giannis Antetokounmpo):

Michael Porter Jr. was another player many felt was a snub. The Brooklyn Nets forward is averaging 25.6 points per game and shooting 39.8 percent from three but didn't make the cut, drawing the ire of some fans:

In the Western Conference, Houston Rockets big man Alperen Şengün (21 PPG, 9.2 RPG), the Los Angeles Clippers pair of Kawhi Leonard (27.7 PPG, 2.1 SPG) and James Harden (25.4 PPG, 8.1 APG) and even the mercurial Dillon Brooks (21.1 PPG) were considered snubs by fans:

The West is pretty loaded, so snubs were inevitable, but not having one of Leonard or Harden felt like an oversight.
