Ja Morant Shares Cryptic Post amid NBA Trade Rumors Ahead of 2026 Deadline

It's trade deadline season in the NBA, which means it's also cryptic tweet season for NBA players.

Memphis Grizzlies point guard Ja Morant seemingly played into the uncertainty around his status on Saturday.

"Time tells the truth," Morant wrote on X.

ESPN's Shams Charania reported earlier this month that Memphis is entertaining offers for the two-time All-Star, an expected move after months of tension between Morant and the Grizzlies coaching staff.

Morant's clashes with his coaches, plus recent struggles, may have diminished his trade value, though, which reportedly has led to little trade interest with the deadline coming up next week.

Morant is also currently sidelined with a UCL sprain, which hurts his trade value even more.

Whether the Grizzlies will be able to move Morant will be determined in the coming week, as could the meaning behind his cryptic post.
