
Luka Doncic Hyped By NBA Fans After Triple-Double Helps Lead LeBron, Lakers to Win vs. Wizards
Led by a stellar all-around performance from Luka Dončić, the Los Angeles Lakers cruised to a 142-111 win over the Washington Wizards on Friday.
Dončić recorded his sixth triple-double of the season in the first half alone and ended the night with 37 points, 11 rebounds and 13 assists in 31 minutes on the floor. He also picked up three steals while shooting 13-of-21 from the field and 6-of-13 from behind the arc.
LeBron James chipped in with 20 points on 8-of-16 shooting, recording six assists and two steals of his own.
Fans praised the performance of Dončić in the blowout win.
The Lakers set the tone early in Friday's contest, taking a 40-22 lead with just under two minutes remaining in the first quarter.
Los Angeles didn't wait long to put the game out of reach, outscoring Washington 36-21 in the second quarter to take a 77-48 advantage at halftime.
Head coach JJ Redick's squad continued to thrive offensively in the second half to keep the game out of reach for the Wizards, leading by as many as 38 points.
The Lakers finished with 142 points, representing their second-highest scoring total of the season. They shot 61.2 percent from the field as a team, scoring 66 points in the paint compared to 50 for Washington.
Los Angeles also dished out 38 assists to go along with 17 turnovers.
The Lakers improved to 29-18 with the victory and have now won five of their past seven games.
