Everything Robert Saleh Said About Titans, Cam Ward At Press Conference After Contract
The Tennessee Titans officially introduced Robert Saleh as the team's new head coach on Thursday.
Early in Saleh's introductory press conference, he outlined what he wants the Titans' style of play to be during his tenure.
"Fast and violent, man," Saleh told reporters. "Play in and play out. We're gonna play with speed, we're gonna play confident, we're gonna have some swag. Talk a little s--t. But I want them to show who they are, play in and play out. The one thing that you'll notice is the speed at which we play and the violence at which we do it."

Multiple players were in attendance for the press conference, including quarterback Cam Ward and star defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons.
When asked about Ward, Saleh told reporters that the plan for the 23-year-old is to start at the beginning and explained that he'll spend plenty of time with new offensive coordinator Brian Daboll.
The Titans hired Daboll on Tuesday following his stint as head coach of the New York Giants from 2022-25. The last time he was an offensive coordinator, he played a key role in the development of Buffalo Bills star quarterback Josh Allen.
"Just talking with Dabes over the course of the last few weeks, he is the perfect man to match up with Cam and to maximize who he is," Saleh told reporters. "So again, we're really pumped to get to work with Cam and get him to where we all know he can be."
Saleh confirmed that he will call defensive plays with the Titans, comparing it to his time with the New York Jets.
Saleh also explained that he wanted to coach the Titans because he believes that their leadership group can help bring the franchise a championship.
Tennessee is in the midst of a four-year playoff drought and wrapped up a second consecutive 3-14 finish in 2025.
Ward was a bright spot for the Titans in the regular season, showing promise despite getting sacked a league-leading 55 times. He completed 59.8 percent of his throws for 3,169 yards and 15 touchdowns compared to seven interceptions.
Tennessee will also be hoping that Saleh can help the team take a step forward defensively after ranking No. 28 in the NFL by allowing 28.1 points on a weekly basis during the regular season.
