Latest Cavs Trade Rumors on Lonzo Ball, Darius Garland, Jarrett Allen Amid De'Andre Hunter Buzz
The Cleveland Cavaliers have begun to stabilize after a slow start, winning 11 of their last 15 games. But the organization could still look to make some big changes ahead of February's trade deadline.
According to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype, "NBA executives across the league have identified De'Andre Hunter and Lonzo Ball as potential trade candidates."
It wouldn't be a surprise if either were moved. Hunter has proven to be a wonky fit in Cleveland, averaging just 14 points across 68 games over the past two seasons, while he's only shot 30.6 percent from three this season. Contrast that to his final campaign in Atlanta, where he was averaging 19 points per contest.
And then there's Ball, who has been a major downgrade from Ty Jerome off the bench for Cleveland, averaging just 4.8 points and four assists per game.
Don't expect one of the team's bigger stars to be moved, however. Scotto noted that "teams around the league have kept tabs on whether Cleveland would consider trading Darius Garland or Jarrett Allen, but a change to the team's core isn't expected until the summer at the earliest, depending on how the playoffs go."
