Tyrese Haliburton Reveals He's Gained 30 Pounds Since Suffering Injury with Pacers in NBA Finals
Indiana Pacers point guard Tyrese Haliburton revealed on LeBron James and Steve Nash's Mind the Game podcast that he's gained 30 pounds while he recovers from his torn Achilles.
He noted that some of that was intentional, as he wants to be able to be more physical at the rim and absorb contact to more consistently get to the free-throw line. But he also acknowledged that some of the weight gain isn't good, saying he's been "drowning my sorrows in cookie and ice cream."

Every NBA Team's Toughest Free-Agency Decision 😬
Haliburton, 25, led the Pacers to the NBA Finals last season, averaging 18.6 points and 9.2 assists during the regular season. But he tore his Achilles in Game 7 against the Oklahoma City Thunder, ending his 2025-26 season well before it even began.
When he returns next season, expect a bulked-up version of Haliburton, albeit without the cookie and ice cream pounds.
