Latest Giannis Trade Rumors Ahead of 2026 NBA Deadline After Bucks Star's Calf Injury

The trade deadline is nearing, and there's still no clear indication of whether the Milwaukee Bucks want to trade Giannis Antetokounmpo, but opposing teams reportedly are hoping to find out whether he's on the market.

NBA insider Marc Stein reported Sunday that "multiple teams continue to try to engage the Bucks on a Giannis deal that they would like to consummate before the Feb. 5 deadline" despite Antetokounmpo's calf injury that is set to leave him sidelined for four-to-six-weeks.

Stein added that "still no clear-cut indication that the Bucks are willing to entertain the prospect of an Antetokounmpo deal before draft time in the spring," though teams are still holding out hope that the Bucks can be persuaded before the deadline on Feb. 8.

NBA insider Jake Fischer noted Saturday that "numerous NBA front offices began operating under the belief in recent days" that Antetokounmpo will be made available for a trade.

ESPN's Shams Charania reported on the Pat McAfee Show on Friday that Antetokounmpo's frustration with the Bucks "is at an all-time high."

While there may not be much of an indication about whether the Bucks plan to move on from their star, all indications seem to point to an eventual split. Whether that split will come before the trade deadline will be revealed in the coming weeks.
