
Stephen Curry, Anthony Edwards Excite NBA Fans as Warriors Top Timberwolves
Stephen Curry and Anthony Edwards delivered a headline matchup Sunday, but it was Curry and the Golden State Warriors who pulled away for a 111-85 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Curry finished with 26 points, seven assists and four steals, shooting 7-of-18 from the field while setting the tone on both ends. Moses Moody added 19 points, and Brandin Podziemski chipped in 12 as Golden State secured the road victory.
In the process of scoring 26 points, Curry moved into the top 20 on the NBA's all-time scoring list, passing John Havlicek.
Edwards led Minnesota in the loss with 32 points, 11 rebounds and a block. Donte DiVincenzo scored 22 points against his former team.
Fans reacted to the star-powered duel between Curry and Edwards following the game.
The teams continue to jockey for position in the Western Conference, with the win improving Golden State to 26-21 and eighth place, 1 1/2 games behind Minnesota at 27-19.
The Warriors and Timberwolves will run it back on Monday in Minnesota.
