Derrick Rose's No. 1 Chicago Bulls jersey is officially in the rafters at United Center.

The Bulls celebrated Rose's legendary career Saturday with a retirement ceremony following a 114-111 win over the Boston Celtics.

The ceremony started out with a tribute video narrated by Scottie Pippen, one of the four other Bulls players whose numbers have been retired by the franchise.

Taj Gibson and Luol Deng gave speeches in their former Bulls teammate's honor.

Former Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau joined in on the ceremony with his own tribute to Rose.

Bulls legend Michael Jordan sent in a video message to Rose ahead of the ceremony.

Rose took to the court to address his family, including his three children, before his jersey was officially raised.

Rose, a Chicago native selected with the top pick in then 2008 NBA draft, went on to play seven seasons for the Bulls between 2008 and 2016.

He was named Rookie of the Year in 2009 before earning an MVP award in 2011, the same year he helped lead the Bulls to a 62-20 record and Eastern Conference Finals appearance.

Rose, 22 years old at the time, made history that spring as the league's youngest player to win MVP.

Rose left Chicago after the 2015-16 season having competed in 406 regular-season games and 41 playoff games for the franchise.

The 2,516 assists he recorded across those seven seasons still ranks fifth in franchise history today.

Rose will now join Pippen (No. 33) and Jordan (No. 23) alongside Bob Love (No. 5) and Jerry Sloan (No. 4) as the only players to have their numbers retired by the Bulls.

The celebration of Rose's career took place shortly after a fourth straight win for the Bulls, who pulled ahead of the Celtics at the last second thanks to a buzzer-beating three-pointer from Kevin Heurter Saturday night.

The Bulls improved to 23-22 with the win and currently sit No. 9 in the Eastern Conference.
