Kevin Durant Responds to Fan Joking About Free-Throw Percentage Amid Rockets Star's Strong Play
Having led the Houston Rockets to four wins in their last five games, including a 111-104 victory over the Detroit Pistons on Friday, Kevin Durant is feeling good right now.
After the win against the Pistons, Durant responded to a fan who joked on X that he needs to get his free-throw percentage up.
Even though the fan is obviously trying to troll, Durant's free-throw percentage during this five game stretch is lower than his season total. He is "only" connecting on 83.3 percent of his attempts from the charity stripe since Jan. 16.
Durant's season mark is at 88.5 percent. He has played two back-to-backs since Jan. 15, including against the Philadelphia 76ers on Thursday and Pistons on Friday.
You would never know from Durant's play that the Rockets were on the second night of a back-to-back. He put up 32 points in 41 minutes in the win over Detroit after scoring 36 in 44 minutes against the Sixers.
The Rockets look to be back on track after a stretch in which they lost four of five games from Jan. 3-11. They are 27-16 overall and have moved into fourth place in the Western Conference, 2.5 games behind the Denver Nuggets for the No. 3 seed.
